Levi's Live Round 2 - Jimmy Khan & Nimar Zar Set Riot Studios on Fire

Headlined by Jimmy Khan, Riot Studios hosted yet another session of Levi's Live featuring Nimar Zar in the opening act.

A legion of music lovers flooded Farhad Humayun's Riot Studios on Friday night for another session of Levi's Live Round 2. The event, organised by Farhad Humayun and Uzma Rao from Native Rock who did a wonderful job in putting the show together, was headlined by Jimmy Khan. The singer, songwriter, and actor from Lahore, who recently featured in Asim Raza's Parey Hut Love, got things heated up.

The session was opened by Nimar Zar - who is originally from Pakistan but made most of his music career in LA. Nimar was accompanied by Madlock's frontman Mehroz Gilani on guitars who also did the backing vocals adding that X-factor the overall performance. Zar performed a number of originals from his upcoming album and some cover songs to a charged-up crowd of Lahore.

Speaking of the event Nimar Zar said, "The sound, management, crowd, energy - everything was spot on. It was a pleasure playing for Levi's Live and that too, in front of my parents in the audience who have never seen me perform live. It was fun."

Jimmy Khan performed an acoustic set but the crowd complimented him so well. He performed his hit songs Nadiya, Baarish, Haaye Dil Bechara, and a number of other songs. Even though it was an acoustic set, but Jimmy's matchless energy left the audience pleading for more.

"Playing here at Levi's Live was a completely different experience that took me back to the time I used to play in restaurants. Thanks to Farhad Bhai for the invite and giving me a chance to connect with Lahore's audience after a while. I really appreciate how Native Rock in collaboration with Levi's and Riot Studios is promoting live music", said Jimmy Khan.

Previous sessions of Levi's Live have featured performances by Abdullah Qureshi, Jal, Noori, Shiraz Uppal, Farhan Saeed, Uzair Jaswal, Bayaan, and Bilal Khan among others. Levi's kept its commitment to promoting live music by bringing young and the brightest talent of the country on the stage of Riot Studios, which is the famous recording studio and gig venue in Lahore having world-class facilities for playing music.

There's something about live music that makes you break out of your usual self and enjoy life at its very best and this is exactly what happens at every session of this only show that aspires to revive live music scene in Pakistan.
